As a part of the landscape analysis underway by Touchstone Leadership Group, NARM has scheduled three additional Listening Sessions for specific affinity groups. These Listening Sessions are intended exclusively for individuals who personally identify as members of the specified group. What are the NARM Listening Sessions?

The NARM Listening Sessions are facilitated discussions led by Stephanie McLemore Bray, a respected thought leader in the non-profit sector. These sessions are designed to gather feedback from the midwifery community about NARM’s work, strengths, challenges, and opportunities for growth.

What is the purpose of the Listening Sessions?

The Listening Sessions aim to:

  • Foster authentic dialogue and feedback on NARM’s work.
  • Gather input from diverse voices within the midwifery community.
  • Understand what the CPM credential means to stakeholders.
  • Assess how NARM can better support midwives in delivering high-quality, culturally aligned, and respectful care.
  • Identify NARM’s strengths and challenges to improve accountability.

Why is NARM conducting these Listening Sessions?

NARM is committed to equitable growth and accountability. Additionally, accreditation standards require that any major changes to NARM’s programs be based on validated evidence. These sessions provide critical data to support meaningful improvements.

How will my feedback be used?

Your insights will contribute to a Landscape Analysis, a comprehensive report that will:

  • Help shape future improvements at NARM.
  • Identify areas where NARM can strengthen its support for midwives.
  • Ensure that NARM meets its accreditation standards by making evidence-based changes.

Who is conducting the Landscape Analysis?

NARM has partnered with an external organization, Touchstone Leadership Group, to conduct the Landscape Analysis. This external assessment ensures that:

  • Participants feel comfortable sharing their honest experiences.
  • The feedback process remains unbiased and transparent.
  • NARM is held accountable for making meaningful improvements.

Will the results of the Landscape Analysis be shared with the public?

Yes. The NARM Board will receive the findings, and Touchstone Leadership Group will present the results in an upcoming Information Session to share insights with the community. Register here for the Landscape Analysis information session.
