Frequently Asked Questions

NARM Membership and Membership Portal

What is NARM’s new membership structure? NARM is transitioning to a membership-based structure where CPMs, applicants, and allied community members can engage in governance decisions, including electing board members. Membership will be provisional for this election cycle, with a permanent structure to be determined by the elected board. Who qualifies for provisional membership? For this election, provisional membership includes:
  • Active, inactive, and retired CPMs (excluding revoked or expired CPMs).
  • Active applicants (those with a Certemy account).
  • Allied community members who support the CPM profession.
How do I become a member? Click here to pre-register for the NARM member portal on Certemy. This will confer your member benefits. What rights do provisional members have? Provisional members will have the right to vote in the upcoming board election. The elected board will determine additional membership rights and tiers in the future. Membership is free. What is the Nominating Committee, and who can apply? The Nominating Committee is an ad hoc group that will determine the slate of candidates for the elected board. To apply, you must be a CPM with at least three years of experience. Find the application here. How will the board election process work?
  • NARM will establish a Nominating Committee to select a slate of candidates.
  • Provisional members will vote for board members.
  • The newly elected board will begin its term by summer 2025, with staggered terms for continuity.
Why is NARM changing to a member-elected board? NARM’s board has traditionally been self-perpetuating. This shift aims to increase transparency, accountability, and community engagement in governance decisions. If you have questions or need assistance with the portal, we are here to help.
