Racial Non-Discrimination Policy

The North American Registry of Midwives does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, or ethnic origin in the administration of its certification policies.

General Non-Discrimination Policy

Pursuant to Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Age Discrimination Act of 1975, the North American Registry of Midwives recruits volunteers and board members, employs, assigns and promotes staff, terminates employment, determines rates of pay and other benefits without discrimination on the basis of age, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, ethnic identity, veteran status, religion or creed.

It is not the intent of NARM to exclude any midwife from certification on the basis of age, educational route, culture, or ethnic group, creed, race, gender, or sexual orientation.
