NARM Supports the Portfolio Evaluation Process!

In many midwifery communities there are rumors that NARM is eliminating the Entry-Level Portfolio Evaluation Process (PEP). These rumors are false! NARM is committed to maintaining the PEP and the apprenticeship model of CPM training. Current states that permit the PEP route to CPM credential will continue to do so unless their regulations/statute change.

When considering your route to the CPM credential, it is important to be aware of state-specific requirements in the state where you intend to practice midwifery. There may be requirements such as attending state-approved schools or examinations that must be met for state licensure or practice.

Please read more on this website about applying for a CPM credential. If you have any additional questions, please contact NARM at info@narm.org or 888-842-4784.
