MANA Statistics Project

The Midwives’ Alliance Division of Research encourages all CPMs to contribute to high-quality research about the unique practice of midwifery and birth at home and in free-standing birth centers. CPMs can do this by participating in the MANA Stats Project, which is an easy-to-use web-based program for contributing information about the care you provide and the clients you serve, in a way that protects your and your clients’ private health information.

Midwives and students can see their own statistics on issues such as transports, c-sections, waterbirths and much more, all at the click of a button. You can also get NARM CEUs for participating!

Beyond the benefits to your practice, the MANA Stats Project is the only database in the U.S. that contains this kind of rich information for research on midwifery care and normal birth at home or in birth centers.
