Farewell to NARM Board Member Carol Nelson!
It is with a mixture of gratitude and sadness that we announce Carol Nelson’s retirement from the Board of Directors of the North American Registry of Midwives.
For the past 26 years, Carol has served with unwavering dedication, passion, and commitment to our organization’s mission and goals. Her contributions have been invaluable, shaping the direction and success of NARM over more than two decades. Carol’s wisdom, insight, and tireless efforts have left an indelible mark on our organization and the wider midwifery community. While we are saddened by Carol’s departure, we respect her decision and extend our heartfelt appreciation for her many years of service. Her leadership, expertise, and friendship will be deeply missed by all of us at NARM.
As we bid farewell to Carol, we remain committed to upholding the principles and standards she helped establish and advance. We are confident that her legacy will continue to inspire us as we continue our mission to promote excellence in midwifery practice.
Carol plans to focus her time and energy on the next generation of midwives through her work at The College of Traditional Midwifery, a midwifery education program she co-founded on The Farm. Please join us in expressing our sincere gratitude to Carol Nelson for her outstanding service and wishing her all the best in her future endeavors.
